Especially now during the credit crunch a lot of people like to relax and unwind with a great game of golf. But there are still a huge amount of people that play golf competitively.

One of the more annoying aspects of competitive golf is when players that think they are better than you try to give you tips. This is probably one of the worst scenarios to be in as it can put you off your game a tremendous amount.

The most terrible aspect about golf is that no every person is the same. It is not the same as any other sport such as Football or Rugby, swinging golf clubs needs your own technique, what may work for you probably will not work for someone else. Golf is a totally different game, I simply do not think that the more advice you get the better player you become.

The thing about golf is that it's a game of practice makes perfect; you have to find out what works for yourself and not somebody else. There are a few thoughts on improving your game without taking anyone's tips.

1) Try to feel the golf putters or golf club, get your body in a position that will be the most relaxed, not a position that anyone tells you to do. Imagine pulling the club back and striking the ball.
2) Try not to be distracted by the difference in Golf Equipment. There are a huge amount of people that are terrible when it comes to golf, but they still insist the better golf equipment they buy the better they will be.

So to finalise things if you want to be good at golf then you should throughly practice your game and avoid peoples advice.
